The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will soon be developing new regulations for the licensing of ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC) projects which are anticipated for the waters offshore of Hawai’i. On June 17, 2010, NOAA will be hosting an open house and information session on the licensing requirements for OTEC projects under the Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion Act and NOAA’s rulemaking process. The open house and information session will be held in the Keoni Auditorium of the East-West Center at the University of Hawai’i. Please mark your calendars to participate and refer to the agenda for additional information.
