The Coastal Management News shares accomplishments of the National Coastal Zone Management Program. The newsletter was developed in response to state requests for more information on how other coastal programs are addressing pressing issues.
NOAA's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) has enjoyed bringing you regular installments of Coastal Management News for the past five years. As we mark our fifth anniversary, we plan to take a hiatus from the newsletter. OCRM is in the process of integrating with NOAA's Coastal Services Center to serve the coastal management community even better. The hiatus from the newsletter will allow us to strategically evaluate how the combined communications efforts for the two offices can most effectively serve the National Coastal Zone Management Program and broader coastal management community.
