Employment Opportunities
NOAA's Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM) is an exciting place to work. OCRM offers a variety of employment opportunities from full-time Federal government and contract positions to one or two year Fellowships for current or recent graduate students. OCRM also periodically hosts high school and college interns. Current position openings are listed below:
Federal Positions

NOAA relies on outside contractors to provide both long and short-term staff support. Contractors work alongside federal employees and are integral members of the OCRM team.

OCRM Fellowships and Sponsorships
OCRM directly sponsors several Fellowship and Summer Scholar Programs for current or recent graduate and college students. Fellows are based with our state and territory partners and summer scholars are based in OCRM. Information about recurring fellowship opportunities and scholarships are provided below. National Estuarine Research Reserve Graduate Research Fellowships: NOAA funds fellowships for master's and PhD students to conduct research at each of the 27 National Estuarine Research Reserves. Fellows conduct their research within a National Estuarine Research Reserve and gain hands-on experience by participating in their host reserve's research and monitoring programs. All fellowship projects address issues important to coastal zone management and enhance our understanding of estuarine ecosystems.
Coral Reef Conservation Fellowships: The NOAA Coral Reef Management Fellowship Program was established to respond to the need for additional coral reef management capacity in the U.S. Flag Pacific and Caribbean islands. The program provides the state and territorial coral reef management agencies with highly qualified candidates whose education and work experience meet each island's specific needs, while providing the individual fellows with professional experience in coastal and coral reef resources management.
